Special EventsCanal Lake Lodge is a casual, family friendly, location for any event. Our staff members will be there to make sure your event gets off to a smooth start. Even better, when the event is over, we take care of the clean-up. Responsible, legal alcohol consumption is permitted. Please call us at 937-498-4728 to receive an individualized cost estimate for your event. Canal Lake LodgeWhen you think Canal Lake Lodge, think kick back relaxation! The heated and air-conditioned Lodge interior features the Log Room with stone fireplace, and the Stone Room with its large bay window looking out to the natural beauty beyond. There will be tables and chairs for up to 50 inside and 4 picnic tables outside. Additional outside seating/dining/dancing space can be created using tents, which we will arrange as needed, for your event. You will always have use of the fully equipped kitchen (or you can grill on site), bar area, and sound system. Your guests may fish, play shuffleboard, volleyball, go for a hike, and use the available rowboats to fish (you supply the fishing gear) or just tour the lake. We will assist you in planning your event needs. Staff will always direct parking and help to get your event going. The Lodge is a place to “unplug” – as no WiFi is available. Finally, leave the general cleanup to us! Family and Class ReunionsAt Canal Lake Lodge your family can gather for a catered or carry-in meal and then enjoy all the activities available. Bring your own lawn chairs, yard games and sports gear – there’s plenty of room for outdoor activities. For the anglers in your clan they can fish from the shore or take rowboats out onto the lake (you will need to supply the fishing gear). For those that prefer indoor activities, bring your favorite board games and a few card games. Winter events are centered in the Log Room where a fire will crackle in the huge stone fireplace. If you’d like to include dancing, our in-house DJ is always available at very reasonable rates. Graduation, Birthday, and Anniversary Parties and Rehearsal DinnersCanal Lake Lodge is the perfect spot for a casual celebration of life’s milestones. Want a picnic vibe? Grill! You are free to self cater or to hire the caterer of your choice at Canal Lake Lodge. Something rustic but a step-up from picnic? Use the Lodge’s interior, or go under a lit tent. The Lodge is also perfect for come-and-go events like graduation parties or an open-house anniversary party. Bring your CD’s to set the mood with the honoree’s favorite music or hire our DJ to spin you into the dancing mood. Company and Organization EventsFrom customer appreciation outings to employee picnics or team building events, Canal Lake Lodge is a great location for all your off-site company events. Use the Lodge for groups of up to 50. Larger groups (up to 800) will still have use of the air-conditioned Lodge and we will arrange for tents and tables and chairs for outdoor seating. Bring in amusements, entertainers, or food trucks to show your customers/employees how much you appreciate them. You may use any caterer or food service you like – even bring in grills! Baby and Bridal ShowersThese events at Canal Lake Lodge are usually limited to Sundays. Buffet and cake tables, and dining table and chairs will be set up and covered with white linen table cloths – ready for you when you arrive. We have a sound system if you would like to have background music playing. Holiday PartiesCanal Lake Lodge is a wonderful spot for family and company holiday parties. Picture a stone and log cabin, sitting by a private lake, with a fire crackling away in the huge stone fireplace. We’ll have the Lodge decorated for Christmas and the tables and chairs set with white linen tablecloths. You bring the food and beverages (maybe some presents) and when the party is done we will take care of the general clean-up. Suitable for groups of up to 50. |
