Exclusive Retreat Site Now Open For Special Events
The historic site of the old
Monarch Rod and Gun Club has reopened as the Canal Lake Lodge.
Nestled in 100 acres of woods 3 miles southwest of Sidney, the lodge
and recreation facilities, managed by GreatStone Resorts, are open
by appointment to the public and can be scheduled for a variety of
events.
The lodge overlooks a canal
boat turnaround lake and the old Sidney feeder canal. The site is
available for overnight lodging ($125 double occupancy), retreats,
off-site business meetings, parties, and receptions. Boating,
fishing, hiking, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and trap shooting are
available. Reservations can be made by calling (937) 498-4728.
Policies
Rooms range from $95 to
$135. Reservations are confirmed with one night's deposit in cash or
with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Money Order. This amount
is refundable up to seven days prior to reservation date.
Reservations cancelled with less than seven days notice will be
charged and a gift certificate will be issued for any night but
Saturday. Short notice reservations welcome. Gift certificates are
available.
Children ten and older are
welcome. Smoking is not permitted in the Castle. Come enjoy the
serenity of another century.
